FAQs

This is the first time I’ve considered therapy. What should I expect?
For starters, a warm welcome and a listening ear – that’s how all good therapy should start! I’ve worked hard to make my practice homely, comfortable, private and client-led – meaning you call the shots and decide when therapy should end. I’ll listen, support, understand and work with you to get to the crux of your issue.

Will our sessions be confidential?
Yes. Confidentiality is critical. There are legal limits to confidentiality, however, and I’ll explain this in more detail at the beginning of our first session.

How many sessions will I need?
It depends. Some issues can simply be ‘getting things off your chest’, while others need more work. For complex problems, psychotherapy can be used to methodically work through it from a number of angles.

Can I pay by cash or card?
Yes, both. I have eftpos facilities and payment is completed at the end of each session.

Are there any session rebates?
At the moment, counsellors don’t qualify for Medicare rebates through a GP. I’m currently seeking approval for rebates through some Private Health Insurance providers and I’m able to offer rebates for services through National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) funding.

What are your fees for court, insurance or other reports?
Fees for court, insurance or other reports begin at $500. Please note this amount may be higher if the request requires more detail. This fee can be waived in certain circumstances at my discretion.
